The obverse depicts the diademed head of Alexander the Great (with features of Mithradates VI) wearing the horn of Ammon.
The reverse shows Athena enthroned left, Nike in right hand and resting left arm on shield, transverse spear against side, KAL on throne with trident and two dolphins.
Nice luster for the issue, pleasing gold color, well-centered design elements struck from a pair of dies possessing very good detail, no marks of any consequence, no spots or discoloration.
A very nice specimen sure to please the connoisseur.
